Beginnings are hard.

Starting off my first post with this selfie I took on my iPad while writing this post. Sorry if it’s huge I’m on my iPad and don’t know how to shrink it on the iPad. I left the outline prompt heading thing up there since it’s quite fitting. Beginnings are hard.

So I think weekly I want to talk about what I see when I go on my phone or out in the wild that is really awesome to me and that I want to share with you. Things that I see once and think about every day from that point on, particularly and mostly clothes. Today I’m going to be very general but get ready for some very specific topics in the future. I’m thinking my first official newsletter will be Coachella themed

1. What’s going on in the world???

Don’t be fooled by the title this will have nothing to do with the news or anything like that, it’s just about what’s going on with my world and what I have been seeing and been inspired by or caused a jaw drop speechless moment. This is from a while ago but for this week, it’s Kendrick Lamar’s jeans at the Super Bowl. They were so epic and I want a pair. He and Timmy Chalamet have the same stylist (@taylor__mcneill) and apparently the jeans were originally meant for Timmy. Here is a reminder of how fly Kendrick looked, and next to him the same pair of pants later bedazzled for Timothee Chalamet.

I’m probably gonna have to do a whole separate newsletter on Timothee Chalamet’ s A Complete Unknown press tour outfits because of how amazing they all are and how good he looks. Same with Claire’s Charm tour styling and Addison Rae’s re-branding.

2. What’s on my list

Or NOT on my list. Items I want really bad or stuff I think no one should ever wear. Don’t cancel me it’s just my opinion bro

Top row: this dress from Hand Over, a super cute brand from Spain. I love the green and glitter and obsessssssssed with the patterned contrast binding. Need

Middle row: Still Here’s Cool Jean. Will own before I die. The brown suede is my dream pair but I could never spend that much on a pair of pants so will settle for their denim.

Bottom row: fold over skirt pants have been on the brain lately. The first pair is Deiji Studios, middle is Paloma wool, not sure the third but all these are so cute to me and office siren

3. Dress up hour

Every time I get ready for anything I feel like I have nothing to wear which is not true because my closet is so full. So I have been playing a lot of dress up in my closet each week where I try on a bunch of outfits and wear my clothes in different ways for an hour, and I want to share the things I come up with so you guys can play Smash or Pass. Starting off easy with this pic of all my new thrift finds, you alr know I’ve been searching for this green and pink combo for spring/summer. My fav style icon on instagram right now is Kay Ferguson (@Kayfergusonn). Her outfits are so cool. She just was at the beach wearing green and pink which was the inspiration for my thrift finds yesterday. Here’s us side by side

4. One thing a week

I am trying to sew one thing a week because sometimes I don’t touch my machine for months and I need to be more creative (frickin 9 to 5). This last week all I did was hem my bike shorts that were too long so that’s kind of boring, but here’s a little makeup case I made some weeks ago:

5. What I’m listening to

Even though this won’t be about music I feel like what am I doing if I’m not sharing what I’m listening to so I will be doing that down here at the end. Starting with:

Malcolm Todd’s new self-titled album. It has been on repeat since it came out. My favs are Doll, Walk to Class, and Cheer Me On. And it ends with a banger my favorite probably I’ll Come Back for You. He’s so dreamy
